Technical Rider for Shantika Sound Therapy SessionsGeneral InformationShantika Sound Therapy provides professional sound healing sessions with gongs, crystal bowls, chimes, and other instruments. This technical rider outlines requirements for hosting our sessions at hotels, villas, or other venues.
1. Venue RequirementsIndoor Setup:- Room Size: Sufficient space to comfortably accommodate the number of participants lying down. Example: For 6 participants lying down, a minimum of 20 m² is recommended. Adjust the space accordingly for larger groups (approximately 3.5 m² per participant).
- Acoustics: Quiet environment with minimal echo or sound interference.
- Temperature Control: Air conditioning or ventilation must not produce excessive noise.
- Lighting: Soft and dimmable lighting. Avoid direct, harsh lights.
Outdoor Setup:- Weather Protection: Provide shade or a covered area to protect instruments and guests from direct sunlight, rain, or strong winds.
- Surface: Flat, stable ground for setting up instruments and mattresses.
- Noise: Away from loud sources like traffic, construction, or pool areas.
Backup Plan for Outdoor Sessions:In case of rain or bad weather, an indoor alternative must be prepared and communicated in advance.
2. Sound and Noise Considerations- Surrounding noise should be minimized during the session. Notify nearby staff/guests to limit disturbances such as talking, music, or loud activities.
3. Equipment Provided by VenueFlooring Furnishings:- Floor mattresses, cushions, or yoga mats.
- Pillows
- Eye-covers
- Blankets
- Drinking water
- Mosquito repellents (optional but recommended for outdoor settings).
- Shantika can provide these upon prior request for an additional fee.
Space for Instruments:- Clear area of at least 2.5m x 2.5m for gongs, bowls, and other instruments.
4. Setup and Arrival- Arrival Time: Shantika team will arrive 30–60 minutes before the session for setup and soundcheck.
- Venue Staff Coordination: A point of contact should be available upon arrival to address venue-related questions (e.g., access, AC control).
- Access: Ensure easy access to the setup location for transporting instruments. For locations with stairs, assistance may be required.
- Loading Zone: Provide nearby parking or unloading areas.
5. Group Type Information for Private Sessions- For private sessions, please inform the Shantika team about the group type (e.g., families, corporate teams, wellness retreats) and any specific needs or preferences.
- Sessions can be tailored to focus on specific themes such as relaxation, mindfulness, chakra alignment, or team bonding.
6. Special SituationsFor Coastal or Outdoor Windy Areas:- Provide windbreakers or barriers to shield instruments and participants.
For Large Groups or Public Events:- Inform in advance to discuss additional setup needs like amplification systems or microphones.
For High-End Resorts or Villas:- Consider providing complimentary refreshments or herbal teas to enhance the guest experience.
7. Session Cancellation/Postponement- Cancellation due to weather must be communicated at least 4 hours before the session.
- In case of last-minute weather changes, the team will accommodate a shorter delay for relocation indoors.
8. Optional Add-ons (Provided Upon Request)- Floor mattresses, yoga mats, or cushions for participants.
- Stereo microphone setup for live streaming or recording.
- Extended session durations or additional instruments (e.g., didgeridoo, hang drum, flute).
- Custom themes (e.g., intention setting, vibroacoustic therapy, or chakra balancing).
9. Venue Obligations- Respectful handling of instruments and setup area by venue staff.
- Avoid moving or touching instruments unless instructed by the Shantika team.
